BUILDING PERMITS
The Town of Fountain requires building permits. See the land use ordinance for more information or download an application here. Applications are reviewed at monthly board meetings, the 2nd Tuesday of the month. 

DRIVEWAY PERMIT

Application are reviewed at monthly town board meetings, the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Driveway permits are $25 or $100 with a fire number. Fire number application can be found here. Driveway applications can be found here.


Building Permits Fees

New Homes and Garages: $100.00

Any Construction increasing the original value by 25%: $100.00

Decks: $50.00

Porches: $50.00

Storage Sheds: $50.00

Lean-to Shed: $50.00

Corn Bin: $50.00

Barns: $50.00

Residents: $250

Non-Residents: $300

Dog License

Spayed/Neutered: $3.00

Un-spayed/unneutered:  $8.00

To obtain a license contact Treasurer 608-427-2381. Please make sure to have a current copy of rabies vaccination.

Annual Burning Permit for Burn Barrel
Permits are issued by all members of the board. Burning hours are from 6 PM to Midnight Monday thru Saturday. See contact page for phone numbers

Burning Permit
Permits are issued by all members of the board.  Burning permits are valid for 3 days. Permits are available from all elected officials.  See contact page for phone numbers
