NOTICE OF ABSENTEE VOTING INSTRUCTIONS – SPRING ELECTION
VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who:
The elector must also be registered to vote to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued*.
Making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail
Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both. You may make a written application to your municipal clerk for an absentee ballot in person, by mail, by fax, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov.
Your written request must include:
your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote
the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different from the address above
your signature
a copy of your photo identification*
The deadline for making application to receive an absentee ballot by mail is:
5:00 p.m. on the fifth day before the election, April 2, 2026.
*Voters who are indefinitely confined due to age, illness, infirmity, or disability may not be required to provide photo ID. If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.
**Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror. If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.
Voting an absentee ballot in person
You may also request and vote an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office or other specified location by for casting an absentee ballot in person as follows:
Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at
Town Hall, W9921 Jacobsen Road, Camp Douglas, WI 54618
No in-person absentee voting may occur on the day before the election. The municipal clerk will deliver voted ballots returned on or before Election Day to the proper polling place or counting location before the polls close on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Any ballots received after the polls close will not be counted.

Public Hearing for Variance Request

Benjamin and Paige Woggon, N6089 County Road H, Camp Douglas, WI 54618 are requesting a variance to build a house less than 50 feet from the property lines.
Public comments can be made at the hearing or submitted via email. At the conclusion of this hearing, the Town Board shall, based upon the evidence presented, determine whether the variance requested, or any other variance, should be granted. If granted, the Board shall specify the conditions upon which such variance is granted.
The Board must determine that the variance will not be contrary to the public interest, where, owing to special conditions, a literal enforcement of the ordinance will result in practical difficulty or unnecessary hardship, so the spirit of the ordinance shall be observed, public safety and welfare secured and substantial justice done.

Public notice is hereby given that a quorum of members from the Town of Fountain Board may on occasion attend events, meetings or community-sponsored activities in support of the township.
The Town of Fountain Board will not conduct any governmental business during these events.
